Social Day: Expanding your horizons - and helping...

Masterflex apprentices are involved in social institutions today

Out of the office or factory hall - into kindergartens, retirement homes or family centres. This is the idea behind Social Day. Once again this year, 11 Masterflex trainees will be taking part. They help at two locations of the Gelsenkirchener Tafel, at a senior citizens' home and at a municipal day care center in Gelsenkirchen-Erle.

The Social Day is organised by IHK Nord Westfalen as part of the Industry Acceptance Campaign. "With such campaigns, we also want to show that we as a company have a social responsibility and make our contribution to the community," says Christina Neubauer, Head of Human Resources at Masterflex Group.

After the joint work, the trainees from all companies meet for a joint barbecue and exchange with the bosses, personnel managers and IHK representatives. And there is probably a lot of talk about the social day, which - consciously or unconsciously - has certainly broadened the horizon.
