AIX 2026: We are part of it!
The Aircraft Interiors Expo (AIX) opens its doors from April 14 to 16, 2026 in the Hamburg exhibition halls. As a lightweight construction specialist within the Masterflex Group, we will be presenting our connection solutions for the aviation industry in Hall B6 / Stand F80.
Plastic components for medical technology
Plastics have always inspired medical technology. As versatile as the material plastic itself, products made from it can be just as varied and individual.
We develop and manufacture high-quality tubes, connectors and applications as well as customer-specific assemblies for demanding applications in medical technology. Our components are used in the fields of infusion, dialysis, endoscopy and enteral nutrition, but also in hearing aids, for example. For many years, we have successfully combined the two manufacturing techniques of extrusion and injection moulding in demanding medical technology projects, thus offering creative solutions from a single source.

We can look back with pride on 100 years of company history: In 1925, the two businessmen Oscar Matzen and Otto Timm founded the company in Hamburg - initially as an export company. Today, Matzen & Timm is a long-standing and certified partner of the aviation industry. Flying more quietly with the ABS 1170 silencer hose
The new ABS 1170 silencer hose from Matzen & Timm significantly reduces the noise in an aircraft's air conditioning system: the noise level caused by ventilation can be reduced by up to 30 decibels by using the ABS 1170. This is made possible by the special design of the hose - and the use of special acoustic fleece. After successful qualification, the hose can be used in the cabin or in the cockpit area.
Ventilation, drainage and high-temperature hoses
Our products are characterized by their very low weight, high flexibility, high temperature resistance, outstanding manufacturing quality and needs-based design. At the AIX we show
- Waste water and drainage hoses for vacuum toilet systems
- Bellows and molded parts for cooling, ventilation and drainage of galley systems
- Insulated, non-insulated and spiral corrugated hoses, bellows and molded parts for air distribution systems inside the aircraft cabin
- High-temperature-resistant exhaust bellows for APU systems

Consistently high quality
Matzen & Timm is a long-standing and certified development partner of the aviation industry and supplies parts for all types of aircraft.
Every day, we meet the high demands placed on the material, performance, service life, safety and quality of each individual component for the aviation industry. In addition to large series orders, we develop, manufacture and qualify prototypes or pre-series according to customer-specific requirements, test special parts and manufacture hoses, molded parts and bellows especially for small and medium series sizes.
We regularly and successfully participate in certifications and audits and have all relevant approvals and qualifications - including EN 9100:2016 (equivalent to AS 9100D and JISQ 9100:2016, including ISO 9001:2015). This certification corresponds to the QSF-C of the German Aerospace Industries Association (BDLI).
