ISO certification for Masterflex China

Masterflex China gets ISO certificate

TÜV Nord has certified that Masterflex China meets the stipulations of ISO standard 9001.

This means that the auditing organisation has confirmed that the quality management system in place at the Masterflex production site in China's Kunshan conforms to the necessary requirements. "We are very proud, not to say delighted, to have received this verification that our QM system complies with an internationally recognised standard," says Oliver Hascher, President Masterflex Asia and China. "We have thus been able to demonstrate that our internal business processes are fully quality-orientated."

During the certification-related audit procedure, the quality management system was subjected to intense scrutiny. The review revealed that activities are not only sustainable but also that procedures designed for their continuous improvement are in place. "At the same time, the award of the ISO 9001 certification also shows that we place considerable emphasis on using high quality, optimised processes," adds Hascher.

For the Masterflex Group as a whole, the certification of the relatively young production site in China represents a breakthrough in its strategy to increase its international share of the connecting and tubing system business. "Our plan is to gradually shift the main focus of our sales activities away from where it currently is in Europe and to acquire a larger proportion of the Asian markets," explains the Chairman of the Masterflex Group, Dr. Andreas Bastin. "All our customers around the globe justifiably expect to be able to order products from every one of our worldwide units that are in the high quality they associate with us."

The ISO standard 9001 is the most commonly applied and influential standard for quality management systems both in the national and international contexts. It requires the establishment of a holistic QM system and the stipulation of predefined targets that make it possible to identify potential problems at an early as stage as possible and that increase efficiency and productivity.

For this purpose, all personnel and departments need to be actively involved while processes must be permanently monitored.
